Even the California School Superintendent stated that prop 8 has nothing to do with what is or will be taught in schools should it p. I think that when you judge someone based on their ual orientation it says a lot about you and what/ who you tolerate. We are born the way we are born. Do those of you who support Prop 8 also dislike people who are of color? I get so pissed off at people who judge others with no real basis for their beliefs. It has been proven that people who are gay are born with a gene that makes them gay. Even if that weren't the case, who cares? Should we hate deformed people because their genes aren't like ours? Get a clue people. This is 2008. It's time to wake up and start teaching our kids what really matters like how to love everyone no matter what. Custodial account ownership specific situation?

I am 18 years old, and am interested in knowing the if and how legally I can/can't take ownership of a custodial account set up for me when I was born. The facts are that the account was set up around when I was born, money was put into the account by my grandparents, my father was the custodian, and my mother was the broker. The account was created and held in California initially with dean witter. The account was moved to A. G. Edwards, along with all the brokers accounts, then moved again to Merrill Lynch (also to a new broker). There were no special reasons the account was set up for me to be 25 other than convenience of control. Now the opinionated information, when the account was moved to A.G. Edwards, it was claimed by the broker that A.G. Edwards changed all the accounts to age 18 (except mine) because it was not legal unless done so through a will or by court order. A.G. Edwards claims that the account legally should be mine, and Merrill Lynch claims the account is under custodial control until I am 25 (though they have no physical doentation as to why, and are unsure how it can be set that way). I hope that explains the situation, I would like if answers have physical sources that can prove to Merrill, and the custodian the legality of the issue, along with a synopsis of what the sources say. I know that the account can be mine if the custodian is convinced to quit by a lawyer in a court of law (ume this is not possible due to extenuating cirstances), I believe (not sure) that the account can be mine if Merrill Lynch is unable to provide doentation in a court of law (possible but hopefully their is an easier method). ume the account is valuable enough to make this situation worth looking at. Lastly a opinion can't help me, telling me I should just let the account stay as is will be irrelevant information. I have curly hair too and the CHI didn't really work as well for me. It would straighten, look amazing for ten minutes, and frizz and curl at the end of the day. Brisk walking is a very good exercise for losing weight, better than most people think. At first you might increase your appetite so be careful not to increase your calorie intake. Eat mostly protein after walking and carbohydrates before walking to give you energy. You will lose weight if you keep your calorie intake the same but if you can eat less you will of course lose more weight quicker however you still have to eat a well balanced diet to give yourself sufficient nutrition. Cut back on fats and sugar.

My guinea pigs will not move HELP!?

my guinea pigs just sit there and snuggle together. I put them outside in a run and they just huddle together in the corner and it is the same when i let them run round the kitchen and again they just huddle together and don't move. My husbands ex-wife's name is on his credit card...?

When they were married he alone applied for two credit cards. They put her name on it as well but she didn't sign any papers so she likely not a co-signer. When they got divorced, he tried to get her name off the card and they said they can't do it. Apparently, she tried to with same outcome. He told her when they split, that he will take care of the dept on the card, which he is. She hasn't used it. But, now 4 years later, she received a statement and is upset that these two cards are affecting her credit rating and wants to sue. He hasn't missed any payments. How can she possibly be liable if she didn't sign any papers for her name to be put on the card initially. Because of not signing, she can't be a co-signer right? This can't be legal, right? I am missing something?? Im not sure if it makes a difference but I live in Canada. The laws might be different.

Questions about airforce enlistment!?

Hi! :) I have posted a few questions on here...and Im back. lol My fiance ( we will be married Oct. 18 before he enlists ) is wanting to join the airforce. Now, awhile back I posted on here asking if his mother being illegal was going to present a problem. We finally spoke to some recruiters and some said yes and 1 said no that he will do what he can for the security clearance but he wants my fiance in there December 12th to start the process (taking the ASVAB and all that) becuase that's when this school semester is over. Now, we are pretty clueless to a lot of the military terms but we are slowly learning. I have heard a lot of people talking about DEP. Is there any way for my fiance to go in December and fill out paperwork, take his ASVAB, choose his job, see the doctor and all that but not leave for boot camp until June when the next semester is over? How would he go about doing that if it is possible. All answers greatly appreciated!! :) Have a great evening!

Okay, there was another food fight at school. Me and 3 other people kind of stayed stunned while everybody ran like animals in a stampede trying to take cover from the food. People on here are crazy abouth the whole solid foods?

Ok..a bunch of yall keep saying to stay with formula or milk untill 6 months I dont agree I mean if that is what you wnat then thats fine I say do what you want with your baby you are teh only one who knows whats best for them. Now my baby is boy is 12 weeks and yes he is still eating plenty of formula he has probally about 6 6 oz bottles a day, but I did let him have rice cereal mixed with formula when he was just about a month old now it was only about a table spoon at first. then about 2 weeks ago my best friend who has 6 month old twin girls was over and we were talking about it and she said that i could start him on oatmeal cereal since he was good with rice and when she showed me how to make it it was a 4 oz formula bottle mixed well with cereal and then just a little bit of juice just to give it flavor.and he did very well with that he ets his cereal out of a feeder and he never gags he swallows well. This past Friday my mom had bought him stage 1 banannas so we replaced the juice with that and again he did very well. so monday while grocery shopping me and my husband decided to get differnt types of stage 1 fruits and so far he has liked it and done well with it. I give him his cerealmixed with fruits feedings before bedtime and then again in the morning around 7. And yes I do also give him 1 2 oz bottle of white g juice a day just so he can have some flavoring between those plain formula bottles he eats all day. My mother had done the same for me and my brother and we are perfectly fine and never had obesity problems or allergies like people are saying on here. a bunch of people on here are saying not start babies on stage 1 untill 6 months well my friend who i said has the 6 month old twins have her girls on stage 2 now and they do well. my baby holds his head up on his own very well and he never chokes while eating his cereal. And yes i am probally fixing to start more of stage one food besides just fruits to give him around his 5:00 feeding for dinner and i will be spoon feeding him. he is very close to 3 months. A little more regarding lowlifes at a funeral?

Hopefully you caught the previous post entitled lowlifes at a funeral but it's not necessary as this one stands on its own too. I'm amazed and bewildered at these people...at the funeral for a young husband and father, the inlaws .. brothers, parents of the deceased etc...made off with gifts left at the funeral home ...including some envelopes with cards in them and presumably some of these contained money cuz thats what people do when a young wife and small children are involved. So she has no way of knowing who might have sent a gift in order to send them a thank you note and of course the inlaws won't tell. How awful...but here's a big dillemma she's asked me about. A wealthy ish great uncle wrote a sizable check to the oldest brother to be in charge of and said to either put it towards the funeral costs or give to the widow in cash or both however he saw fit as the oldest of the siblings and to take responsibility of it so as to help out an already overburdened/stressed out grieving widow...The BROTHER DID NONE OF THE ABOVE..and she wouldhave never known about the check except she happened to hear about the money gift from some blabbermouth relative who let it slip while in gossip mode! Its been months now since the funeral..and when she mentioned it to the brother he didn't deny its existance, he just said he'd decided to split it between the remaining siblings..UGGGHHH this he justified by saying that she and her husband (his brother) had borrowed money from their mother, who took it from her savings so therefore it was the "estate" intended for everyone. So the dillemma now is....does she contact the uncle who rightly should have received a thank you from HER months ago and utterly rude seeming it is to have received such a large sum of money and not even acknowledged it...only she didn't know about it.. and does she give a simple thank you or should she explain that she only just learned of it but that she didn't recieve it?? one way or another, I'd think the uncle expected her to be the recipient and she needs to acknowledge that in some way???

Need help with factoring trinomials!?

Got a 10th-grader who's struggling with factoring trinomials in algebra. I'm trying to help him, I always was pretty good in algebra, but Richard Nixon was president when I took it in high school and Gerald Ford was president when I took it in college, so it's been a while (for those who are wondering, my wife and I became parents late in life). I've been able to connect with him on the little trick I remember where you have, for example, x^2+7x+44 and it factors out to (x+11)(x-4) with the little trick where the numbers you use to get the 44 (11 and -4) also give you the 7 when you find their sum. (I hope that makes sense.) However, I'm having trouble, and as such my son is having trouble, with problems such as 5L^2-26LX+5X^2. (Am using capital letters here so you'll know I'm using an L.) I know the answer, from a factoring calculator, is (5L-1X)(L-5X). And maybe I'm going about it the wrong way with the aforementioned trick about the sum and the product, but that doesn't work out with this equation and similar ones, and I'm having a devil of a time trying to show him how to get there and explain to him out to get there. Another similar problem (and these are from his work) is 20m^2+13mn+2n^2, I know the answer is (5m+2n)(4m+1n), but again am having diffculty showing him the concepts for getting there. His teacher at school has said he just cannot grasp the concepts despite repeated tries, I'm attempting to help him with it, and if there's anybody out there who can put me on the right track to helping him, I'd sure appreciate it. Both of these phrases should be capitalized. Anything that is the actual name of a place, organization, etc. is capitalized. If the name of the building was "The Capitol", and building was not an official part of the name, then you wouldn't need to capitalize building. Likewise, if the sentence read "They decided that their town needed some form of general council." then you wouldn't capitalize, because the sentence is only speaking about general council as a concept or type of group. But in your example the group actually exists and is named the General Council.

there is no way to completely shutting off the farting aspect of humans except for certain kind of surgery but lets not get into that. what u can do is look at what you eat. like for many people eating oily or junk food gives them gas. u don't want that. u do exercise, maybe it is not enough. sitting around for a long time makes you fart more. i know because i myself am a computer nerd and had a problem with farting myself. there are yoga exercises or "asanas" go get all the fart out of your system first thing in the morning, that way your day can be pretty much fart free. fart is a warm gas. it rises. a way to get it out is elevate your bum above your stomach and body. wait and then if there is any it will be out. i know it is disgusting but it does work. but there will be a day when u will publically let out a bad one and then try your best not to attrackt attention. you can even make your fart less smelly by controlling what you eat

Police officers have infra red lights that can check how many people are in a house, and what everyones doing. The government is able to listen in on our phone conversations without us knowing it, and soon our emails and stuff to. And there are chips that are put into military people, dogs and criminals. I know in the bible, it says something about the antichrist coming into control and putting his mark on peoples foreheads or "in their hands." And they are putting these chips in peoples hands! I mean, I personally think that if someone told me, "you have to put this chip in your hand, or we are going to have to put you in jail or kill you," then I would be like, "Uh...no." Family Fight? Should I feel bad?

So! Yesterday was my mom's birthday. And for her birthday, we where going to out to dinner, My mom, dad, 3 brothers and I. But yesterday morning, my grandmother called and said "i'm crashing your party. I hope you don't mind" And my mom really didn't care that she was coming, because she was going to bring her mother (my mom's grandma who she hasn't seen in a while) so she didn't have a problem with it. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my grandma to death, she has done so much for us. But, she is the type, who wants to get all the attention by throwing her money around. And if you suggest how she spends her money, she will do the complete opposite. But anyways, we had no problem with her coming, until she called again about 30 minutes later. She told my mom, that she was going to bring my cousin and his new soon to be wife. Me and his girlfriend do not get along at all. When I was about 15 ( I am almost 17 now) she told me I was fat and needed to go puke in a toilet, right in front of my cousin! Of course when I told my grandma about this (because it was at her house) She freaks out on me, saying it was just a joke, and blah blah. So I decided to let it go, until the last time we all went out to eat, for my little brothers birthday and again she called me fat. So, me being me I freaked out, and started yelling and calling her a bunch of bad names, and since then we haven't talked. So I texted my grandma, and asked her why she was bringing my cousin and his girlfriend (also I don't have a problem with my cousin, I love him to death) And she called me, and freaked out on me, saying I have an attitude? And all this! I was so mad, that she would pick my cousins girlfriend, rather than her own granddaughter (also my grandma has favorites, and picks my aunt over my mom any day, and same with my aunts kids) But anyways while on the phone, I told her that if his girlfriend comes, I refuse to go, and if I do go, and she gives me one dirty look I was going to get up and punch her in the face. And once again, she got all offensive and stuck up for his girlfriend, but in the end, she said she wasn't even going to come anymore, and it would be just my side of the family. Was I wrong to get mad that she was going to bring her? Or do I have every right to be. I feel so bad, because my mom ended up in a little fight with my grandma also ): But in the first place, it was just soppost to be my side of the family. Sorry this is soo long!

I'm an aspiring member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, but I just found out pre-pledge AND pledge lines are illegal (even though they still go on). At first, the older girls seemed like they would go about it the right way but I learned differently as time went on. the older girls have told us we will be "on line" for seven months (which is too long and too much for my schedule) and have made us stay up late, learn ridiculous information, degrade ourselves, and buy them things (ALL HAZING they expect us to keep doing EVEN THOUGH I KNOW IT'S WRONG). when I tried to drop for many, many reasons, they pretty much convinced me to stay because they're the ones who vote members into the chapter and like my "line" wouldn't respect me...they also act like "paper members" get no respect but this process is making me disrespect myself. I have done things I never would've done if I didn't want to join and I feel like it goes against the national sorority's ideals, along with those of my family members who are greek. According to the NPHC Hazing Policy, pledge lines and pre pledge lines are illegal, just like hazing. I guess I'm trying to ask, has anyone ever dropped the process and been able to become a paper member? Because I'm scared to do it but I can't go through this any longer. when I go to get my nails done and they haven't been done in a while, they are tender at first. I am sure you can get them off in 2 weeks but it will hurt, especially if the acrylic hasn't lifted off your nail. Regular polish. When they grow out in a few weeks you can take them off.

On my sears garden tractor you have to use a block of wood to hold the belt tensioning pulley forward in order to get the belt on the engine pulley. I wouldn't think that you need to take anything apart, you may need a third hand to take some tension off the pulley.
