What's your opinion on all this technology, and it having relations to the end times?

I was just having a conversation with my boyfriends parents, (who are ministers), discussing all this technology and its relations to the end times. There are cameras at lights taking pictures of people, how do we know they can't keep track of people too? Police officers have infra red lights that can check how many people are in a house, and what everyones doing. The government is able to listen in on our phone conversations without us knowing it, and soon our emails and stuff to. And there are chips that are put into military people, dogs and criminals. I know in the bible, it says something about the antichrist coming into control and putting his mark on peoples foreheads or "in their hands." And they are putting these chips in peoples hands! I mean, I personally think that if someone told me, "you have to put this chip in your hand, or we are going to have to put you in jail or kill you," then I would be like, "Uh...no." Do you think that within this life time, there is going to be that demand put on me? Do you think, in this generation, we are going to have to all be chipped, everyone...They already took away our right to privacy, and they are hiding it behind good intentions! We are putting camera lights to catch speeders, we are putting chips in people so we can find them when they're lost, we're using infra red lights to catch bad guys...what do you think?
