Will Veronica Mars ever become a movie?

Kristen Bell said that she would totally come back if Rob Thomas decided to do a movie version for season 4 since a lot of people, like me, are dying for some closure... Purportedly, Rob Thomas actually was thinking about doing a movie for all of us addicts, but I haven't heard anything else on it... Anyone have a clue?
