What do you think of this gift for my bridesmaids?

We're having a wedding in late October next year along the East Coast. It's supposed to be very beautiful there that time of year, but also cold. I was thinking of crocheting scarves in the colors of the bridesmaid dresses for the girls to have the day of the wedding to keep warm before and after the ceremony. I haven't started on this project yet though. I'm just curious on people's opinions for this gift idea.
