Did Shandi from ANTM die???

I wanted to see what she is up to (because I am a freak like that) and when I went to google her name, the 'suggested sentence' was her name plus 'death'. So I googled that, and some websites say she died on 1-1-08. Is that true?? Is it just a typo??? No one has any info on how it happened. I really liked her, so I hope it is not true. If anyone has info, let me know!
