Why did my ritual candle explode?

Yesterday I did a prosperity in business ritual. I used a white 7 day guardian candle anointed in Rosemary oil and a green 7 day candle anointed in bayberry oil. This morning my green candle cracked (exploded really) and broke. The wax spilled out and covered my high john the conqueror root and my aventurine stone. What does this mean? Should I keep the wax covered root and stone or should I discard them? This has never happened before, please tell me your thoughts.
