Training a beginning rider on the lunge line?
Hi. I have a very well trained horse. I just have a simple open question. If you are training a new rider with little or no experience,(Maybe for the first time), is it possible to tack up a horse, and lunge the horse with the rider on it? Well, let me rephrase that. Is it possible to lunge a rider like that while letting them hold and USE the reins? If so, how do you safely hook the lunge line to the bridle? I would be letting the rider ride in only a snaffle, no shanks or anything. I only want a rider to hold the reins in case it speeds up, it is a little difficult to slow down a horse slightly form the ground. :) Please answer as soon as you can, I really need the help. If possible, please provide a photo or video instructing how to do this. Thank-you. I would extremely appreciate your photos and videos.
