My guy holds his breath?

ok my guy and i were snuggling the other day while we were watching a movie. I was rubbing my fingers across his abs and chest. He started to hold his breath every few minutes for like five seconds then he'd breathe normal for a while then hold his breath again. i know its not because i smell bad i shower everyday! when i asked him why he just said he didn't know. anyone have ideas why?
